I was born in Ankara in 1980, but spent my childhood in Muğla. I graduated from ITU Industrial Design Department in 2003. The same year, I started working in the jewelry workshop of Ela Cindoruk and Nazan Pak. In 2009, I completed my master's degree in fine arts at the State University of New York at New Paltz Metal Department, which I attended with a Fulbright scholarship.

Between 2010 and 2020, I taught courses on product design, model making and contemporary jewelry design at various universities. In 2011, we founded Maden Contemporary Jewelry Studio with Selen Özus. In 2023, I moved my studio to Yeşilbahar Sokak, a green street in the Göztepe neighborhood of Kadıköy, as its name suggests. This studio-shop concept is a small paradise for me, where Maden and my students can continue my personal production and meet with my customers.
